Emerging Verbal Requests

Teaching a non-verbal student to begin to use his/her voice can be a challenge if they have never spoken before. We typically start with “Requesting Frequency Turn on Voice.”

If the student has some words and echoes, you can teach using the “Verbal Requesting” program.

Once students are requesting using nouns, we want to increase the frequency of their requests so use “Verbal Requesting Frequency” to measure prompted vs. unprompted mands.
