If a student is verbal, or verbal language is emerging, we use mastered receptive labels to teach tacting.
SD: Hold up a mastered receptive item/picture and ask, “What is it?” (or don’t ask the question at all to evoke some spontaneous language – just hold up the picture and wait)
Typically, we use a Yes/No data sheet to track mastered expressive labels.
