Features is, in a way, an extension of receptive and expressive labels. Once a student has mastered 300+ labels, where do you go? Features of items! Keep teaching labels/features to expand vocabulary.
To prevent this type of program from becoming rote, use real-life examples as much as possible, mix and vary the questions and generalize to natural environment.
