This is one of the first programs that we introduce with learners. It’s a great school skill, but it’s also a great play skill.
For data collection, I was taught once upon a time to put graph paper over top of a colouring page and collect data on the number of squares filled in. The can be such a tedious process, but very accurate.
We typically teaching colouring using hand-over-hand or by modelling. Then we sit back and probe once per week. We save those probes and then visually look at the samples from month to month to see the difference.
