We rarely teach this program as it seems to be an exercise in rote memorization instead of conceptual understanding. For example, unless students have experience with the sport of baseball, they are not truly going to understand that a bat goes with a ball. Likewise, why do shoes need to go with socks? Shoes could just as likely go with park because they associate putting their shoes on to go to the park.
Instead, we teach “Rooms and Places” and “Community Helpers” to have students associate items with particular places.
