Pre-requisite skills: Tracing, Copies drawings (basic), Receptive and expressive letters.

We often use the teaching resources from Handwriting Without Tears (HWWT) for teaching letter formation.

To get the student printing on paper, we use the HWWT boxes and have the student trace a highlighted letter and then write that letter independently. Then fade the prompt until they can print the letter without tracing.
