Here is a graph for washing hands using either a regular towel or a paper towel to dry. We find it best to either backward chain or do total task presentation combined with backward chain.

Remember – when teaching life skills, try to eliminate as much verbal prompting as possible as verbal prompts are very difficult to fade.
